Website Re-Branding

The project involved a complete overhaul of the existing website with a more modern and user-friendly website. By removing many of the darker elements and lightening the website, I was able to create a more polished and modern look. We minimized the amount of visible content by using scrolling features for the banners and featured products. This helped to streamline and simplify the navigation experience for our end-users, while simultaneously allowing more real estate for the site features that we wanted to highlight on the front page.

The new site (left) was a complete redesign and it affected every page of the website including partner landing pages and portals.

My work:

  • Wireframe and mock-ups
  • Front-end coding of new site
  • Graphics

* As of June 2015, the company released a new website to accompany their new logo, so the version I created is no longer live.

Careers Microsite
and Portal

I was the project lead on this microsite and saw it through to completion, from wireframes, mock-ups and presentations, down to the final implementation, graphics and coding.

While it looks like a simple website, I had to work closely with Human Resources as well as Legal, to update our copy, look and branding approach for a very outdated existing portal. This also allowed us to align the portal with our new homepage design, while still appealing to potential employees as a desirable company to work for.

Electronic Mail
(EDM's)

We never had two emails that looked alike, and depending on the event type or partner, some allowed for more creative content than others. Each email needed to strike a balance where Insight and the featured partner received co-branded and complementary creative. We were able to keep our emails both unified and unique to each partner. We also updated these to align with the new homepage design.

Direct Mail

While at Insight, partners would pay our internal marketing department to come up with co-branded promotional materials to be sent to our clients.

I have included samples of two direct mail pieces I created during my time in the print department.

  1. The first was mailed to promote IBM server and storage solutions. I created this multi-page concept to highlight something more unique than a typical server room.

  2. The second example is a single-page mailer to promote backup and recovery for Symantec. While in the creative department, I worked closely with copywriters to ensure our concepts aligned and this is a great example of that successful collaboration.

In addition to printed mailers, I was also responsible for the layout and design of several quarterly catalogs Insight mailed out.

Additional Projects

  • Social Media – Created customized layouts to align with the brand and created graphical content to support ongoing promotions
  • Presentations – Worked closely with company CEO's to create large-scale initiatives and presentations for conferences and other events with high-visibility
  • Internal Collateral – Created print and web collateral to support internal company initiatives for teammates
  • Print Management – Managed relationship with print vendors for print collateral, including press checks and final approvals
